Obama's
Embryonic Stem Cell OK Can Kill

What
President Obama did when he reversed President
Bush's executive order banning embryonic stem
cell research was based not on solid science,
but his desire to cater to the anti-life,
pro-abortion forces and their media allies who
helped elect him. In doing this, he created the
potential for an outbreak of potentially fatal
cancerous tumors caused by the therapeutic use
of embryonic stem cells.
Moreover, he killed another Bush presidential
order that funded some of the most promising
research on the creation of embryonic-like stem
cells from harmless but potent adult stem cells.
What President Obama did when he rescinded
President Bush's federal ban on certain lines of
embryonic stem cell research ultimately could
cost American lives.

A Shotgun-Marriage Proposal
Is
it really necessary for taxpayers to spend
another dime on the TARP? We've already
committed $700 billion, half of which was spent
under President Bush and half of which is coming
under President Obama. And now, as we wait with
baited breath for Treasury-man Tim Geithner's
detailed plan to purchase bank toxic assets, the
TARP could rise by another $1 trillion or more.

Catching Up With Karl Rove
Karl
Rove retired in 2007 as President George W.
Bush's deputy chief of staff, ace political

Rove -- aka "Satan" to liberals and
not always popular with limited-government
conservatives, either -- is very much involved
in the daily warfare of partisan politics.

Obama admin. to end use of term 'enemy
combatant'
WASHINGTON
(AP) -- The Obama administration said Friday
that it is abandoning one of President George W.
Bush's key phrases in the war on terrorism:
enemy combatant. But that won't change much for
the detainees at the U.S. naval base in Cuba --
Obama still asserts the military's authority to
hold them. Human rights attorneys said they were
disappointed that Obama didn't take a new
stance.
