=== 1.  Salem Radio / WTTT announces it has permanently cancelled
MassResistance Radio Show! Pressure from "mainstream" conservatives and Romney
campaign strongly suspected. Call station and tell them what YOU think!!   ===

Somehow we had a feeling something like this would happen.

As most of you know, since 2005 the weekly MassResistance

Radio Show has been broadcast throughout Eastern Massachusetts (and parts of
NH and RI) on WTTT AM 1150 Boston. Our show informed people about things that no
other Boston media would talk about. And we had guests who were right in the center
of what was happening. Each show was also posted on the MassResistance website,
and we had listeners as far away as Europe and Japan (judging from the emails we
got).

MassResistance exposed the harsh facts about a lot of sensitive

subjects, including: frightening and outrageous bills in the Legislature, the
"transgender" agenda aimed at schoolchildren, the Day of Silence, the
horrific GLSEN conference, the Children's Hospital program to delay puberty in
kids in preparation for sex-change operations, the Catholic Charities adoption
scam, the sell-out of Massachusetts pro-life groups, an analysis of Darwin's
theory of evolution, illegal immigration, and the homosexual lobby in
Massachusetts government. We also talked about home schooling and tax issues,
interviewed loads of conservative candidates for the Legislature, and lots more.
In particular, our tough, honest analysis of Gov. Mitt Romney's record
(especially his activities during the homosexual "marriage" debacle) has
angered Romney supporters around the country.

We featured interviews with David Parker, Andrea Lafferty, C.J.

Doyle, Bill Cotter, C.J. Doyle, Barbara Anderson, Chip Faulkner, Dr. John Diggs,
Don Feder, Linda Harvey, Mike Heath, Tom Mountain, Larry Cirignano, Ray Neary,
Robert Knight, Peter LaBarbera, Ken Chase, Scott Lively, Rev. Tristan Emmanuel, and many more. No
one else in Boston does this.

No question about it -- when you do this you make your share of

enemies. The irony is that as despised as MassResistance Radio was by the left,
particularly the homosexual lobby, it's pretty clear it was the "mainstream"
conservatives who did us in.

WTTT is owned by Salem Communications, a national Christian

broadcast company. One of Salem's high-profile national talk hosts is Hugh
Hewitt, who is a huge Romney supporter. Hewitt and has written a book praising
Romney, and made it publicly known he can't stand MassResistance. On Hugh
Hewitt's blog on TownHall.com you can read (among other things) that
"MassResistance verges on being a hate group."  Those words on Hewitt's
blog were written by Hewitt's sidekick, a Massachusetts resident named Dean
Barnett, who has also accused MassResistance of "homophobia" because of our
criticisms of Romney's pro-homosexual activity in Massachusetts. (Last week, Barnett
also wrote a column in the Boston Globe crowing about how he "is not religious"
but still has conservative views.)

Just before we were to tape last week's show, we suddenly got a

phone call from WTTT. We were told that us the show is being permanently
cancelled. Then we were told that Dean Barnett was coming into the WTTT studios
the next day to do a broadcast!

Why were we cancelled? WTTT said it's because our show wasn't

bringing in enough money. They said they wanted the time slot for infomercials -
which pay for time. "It's nothing to do with your content," we were told. But
interestingly, in our Saturday one-hour time-slot they replaced us instead with
a Michael Medved re-run, which also doesn't bring in any money!  (What
happened to the infomercial? We even offered to bring in our own advertisers. But they said
they didn't think that was a good idea.)

A Salem Radio insider we spoke to hinted that there are bigger

things involved: "Brian, think about it, who has a lot of power and huge amounts
of money? I'm not saying any more."  (Hmmm. That wouldn't be a certain
ex-governor of Massachusetts, would it?)  Whatever it is, it's pretty clear
it was something.

What do you think?

This isn't just about stopping a flow of information to the

public. If this can happen to the MassResistance radio show, what's next?
And should a religious-based radio network be bowing to pressure - political or
otherwise?

=== 2.  Public hearings Tuesday for (1) great Parents Rights Bill and
(2) horrific Planned Parenthood sex-ed bill that would MANDATE sexuality and
homosexuality in schools. Their big guns are out to push this, and defeat us. ===

What:   Joint Education

Committee - public hearing
When:  Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 1:00 pm
Where:
State House, Room A1

On Tuesday, the rights of parents and schoolchildren are being put on the

line. It will be one of the most important public hearings of the year, as the
Legislature's Education Committee holds public hearings for key bills regarding
the homosexual agenda in the Massachusetts schools. You'll see a lot of "special
interest" people there whose main interest is getting to your children!

The new Parents Rights Bill - S321 - must be supported!

MassResistance crafted this new bill  specifically to address the growing range of

outrageous abuses against schoolchildren and their parents in the public schools
by the powerful homosexual and sex-ed movement.

Read text of bill, summary of why it's needed, and more here.

http://www.massresistance.org/docs/govt07/MR_bills/PRBillS321.html

The Planned Parenthood "health" bill - H597 / S288 - must be defeated!

This bill would mandate sex ed, abortion counseling, and normalization of

homosexuality (and even transexuality) in the public schools as a legal
requirement! This is being pushed by Planned Parenthood, the homosexual lobby,
and other sex-ed industry groups wanting to get into the schools even further.

Read the text of bill, plus analysis & background here.

Here's more on the bills, how to testify, what to do, etc.

=== 3.  And there's more: Public hearing WEDNESDAY for five dangerous
bills pushing the sex-ed lobby's agenda in the public schools and elsewhere.
Also BANNING abstinence education in schools! ===

What:   Committee on Public

Health - public hearing
When:  Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 10:00
am
Where:
State House, Room A1

It's not just the Education Committee that's hearing bills affecting the

public schools. Apparently, the activists in the Legislature have figured out
that the Public Health Committee might be an easy way to slide some of these
bills through, among the more legitimate public health oriented bills. In the
hearing Wednesday, the committee will be hearing testimony on 17 bills, but
these are ones you should be very worried about. If you can, please come and
testify; if you can't email us about how you can submit testimony.

H1172 – “An Act relative to health education.” – Representative Ruth

Balser

http://www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/185/ht01pdf/ht01172.pdf

This bans any state agency (or school system) from applying for Federal

Abstinence Education grants!  Unbelievable.

H2107 - “An Act establishing a health education program in the public

schools.”- Representative Mary Grant

http://www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/185/ht02pdf/ht02107.pdf

Mandates health education in schools. Back in 1998, we persuaded the State

Board of Education to remove "health education" (i.e., sex-ed, abortion,
homosexuality programs, etc.) from the list of mandated subjects in public
schools. This would circumvent that and write into state law that health
education is again MANDATED in the public schools. It should be up to the
individual schools and parents.

H2108 - “An Act relative to local control of health education

curriculums.”- Representative Mary Grant

http://www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/185/ht02pdf/ht02108.pdf

VERY dangerous. Mandates that each school district create local "Health

Education Curriculum Committees." We've seen this in many school districts
already. The people selected for these committees are invariably Planned
Parenthood-type activists and their fellow travelers. Occasionally a "normal"
person is allowed on these boards, but they're always outnumbered and outvoted.
It's a way to push more Planned Parenthood and sex-ed/homosexuality programs
into the schools under the cloak of "legitimacy."

H2217 - “An Act relative to pregnancy prevention.”- Representative Douglas

Peterson

http://www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/185/ht02pdf/ht02217.pdf

Creates another state-sponsored "reality based" program for young unwed women

who are pregnant. Appears to be a funding program for Planned Parenthood and
similar groups.

H2266 - “An Act to promote healthy behaviors.”- Representative Timothy

Toomey, Jr.

http://www.mass.gov/legis/bills/house/185/ht02pdf/ht02266.pdf

Creates a state-sponsored program of "community-based health and sexuality

education services provided by comprehensive family planning agencies." In other
words, more of your tax money going to Planned Parenthood and its allied groups.

If you can make it on Wednesday, it would make a difference! You can bet that

the sex-ed lobby will be there in force.

=== 4.  MassResistance publishes a citizens' "Bill of Rights" on
public hearings in the State House. Average citizens being treated with
disrespect and condescension in favor of special interests.  ===

For over a dozen years we've been helping citizens testify at public hearings

in the State House. We've noticed a disturbing trend. Citizens (especially those
with traditional values) are being treated worse, often with hostility and
contempt, and special interests are given preferential treatment. We've seen
situations where the chairman at a public hearing will make pro-family people
wait until the end of the hearing to testify. (The Education Committee and
Judiciary Committee are the worst, but others are right up there.) They also
continue the disgraceful and annoying custom of letting state legislators get to
the head of the line and speak as long as they wish, while others must wait and
be limited to 3 minutes. Apparently, their time is more valuable than yours. And
there also abuses with "panels" brought in by special interests, which are
granted special privileges.

Here is our "Bill of Rights" which we're distributing at the State House:
