Cuba City, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Mini-tour was peaceful until we came to Cuba City. Even before the group set up their signs along the street Ron Brock’s Truthtruck and the Holman’s Truthvan flushed out poor-choice demons. Pushy bartenders and bar patrons were among those screaming at those who held signs. The local police were trying to run us out of town.

We obeyed reasonable police orders but would not leave the city until we were done. We scheduled the display for 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The police were obviously siding with those who were pushy with us to leave town. The cops and the proaborts called each other by their first name.

 

Mark Gabriel was assaulted by a local big boy while an angry, horsy, screaming  woman was complaining about his display of the aborted baby pictures.

 

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene treating the situation with more impartiality than the local police. A police complaint was filed against the man that assaulted Mark. It is doubtful that he will be prosecuted for knocking Mark to the ground.

 

We Left Cuba City at 6:30 pm; it took that long to file the complaint.

 

Cuba City has 4 churches, 2 of them have female pastors. Cuba City’s Catholic Church has an activist priest who is trying to normalize relations between Cuba and the U.S. The pastor of the Independent Church tried to convince us to leave town. Perhaps if there were one good pulpit, Cuba City’s townspeople might be more restrained.

 

Cuba City sends student emissaries to Cuba to study under Communist instructors. They write favorable articles about Raul and Fidel Castro.
