Subject: An Example of Growing Pro-Life Self-Deceit

The headline in the "Christian Newswire" on May 7, 2007 read, "National Priests' Group Praises President's Abortion Veto Promise."

 

The article stated, "Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, thanked President Bush for his letters to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid in which the President promised to veto 'any legislation that weakens current Federal policies and laws on abortion.'"

 

Make sure you have the message in focus: The President is threatening to veto legislation that "weakens" current Federal policies and laws on abortion, and all the "pro-life" leaders are praising him to high heaven. 

 

Do you see the contradiction in the article?  How can you "weaken" something that is as strong as it can conceivably be?  How can you "weaken" Federal policies and laws on abortion when present abortion laws and policies allow an unborn baby to be legally butchered at any time from conception to the nanosecond before a hair or a toe of the baby emerges from the birth-mother's vagina?  How can you "weaken" a policy that allows any baby conceived by God to be legally killed in this nation if the mother of that child so decrees?

 

Okay, it's at least theoretically possible that we could "weaken" the abortion laws by giving people permission to kill the baby after he/she has emerged from the mother's vagina.  But that theory is debunked because we already know the Supreme Court has said it's illegal to kill the baby when it manages to get it's little head or toe out of the mother's vagina. 

 

So what other scenario is conceivable where abortion laws can be "weakened?"

 

Zero.  None.  It is logically impossible to weaken a law that is as strong as it can conceivably be.

 

So why is the President and pro-life leaders talking about vetoing legislation that "weaken" abortion laws?  Why are the leaders of the "pro-life movement" pattting themselves on the back for persuading POTUS to "veto any legislation that weakens current Federal policies and laws on abortion?"

 

One reason: POTUS and the pro-life leaders of this nation have lost the ability to tell the difference between nonsense and factually accurate communication about legalized abortion, and...here's the really interesting part...they think everybody else has lost that ability too, so they don't worry that people will catch them when they babble nonsense about legalized abortion.

 

There are serious problems that occur in societies when people decide to start ignoring reality, when people decide to fool themselves by self-deceit.

 

One of the first and most dangerous things to happen is human language itself gets turned into nonsensical sounds that make monkey chatter or dog barking look edifying.  People like the President of the United States, and Catholic Priests like Frank Pavone, and communications media like the "Christian Newswire"--ostensibley intelligent people--create sounds intended by God to be the primary evidence that our species was created in the image of God and yet those sounds do nothing but confuse critically important matters of life and death for our species.

 

That is exactly what you see in this current nonsensical babbling by the "pro-life" leaders of this nation.  There you have proof that the people who claim to be MOST CARING about little babies being legally butchered each day in this nation are actually people being used by Satan to create the root confusion that allows that legalized slaughter to continue.  There you have proof that shows how people who have decided to ignore the continuing horrible legalized slaughter of thousands of babies EACH DAY THAT PASSES can find ways to pretend they are doing exactly the opposite.  There you see exactly how people who claim to be treating unborn babies like REAL PEOPLE actually do the opposite.

 

Is it any wonder that those people will do everything in their power to ignore this article?

 

And as usual they will probably succeed.

 

But one thing is certain in this world: people who have decided to make a "way of life" out of ignoring the truth will continue to display ever more obvious signs of severe disconnection with reality.  And in time, they will be destroyed by reality in exactly the way a driver who cultivates the habit of failing to stop at stop signs will be inevitably destroyed.

 

The really horrible tragedy of the growing self-deceit of the leaders of the "pro-life" movement is the evil sons and daughters of the same dogs who crucified the Lord Jesus Christ will take untold numbers of innocent little babies conceived by Him to be born alive in the USA with them before they are destroyed.
